A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) with a valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is sought to provide on-site services in a K-12 school setting located in Tavares, FL. This contract position is designed to support early learning and literacy efforts for students ranging from PreK through 2nd grade. The assignment duration spans from ASAP through May 29, 2026, with approximately 37.5 hours of work each week.
Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech and language impairments among young learners, working collaboratively with educators and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs). The SLP will support communication development through evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to meet each students unique needs.
Qualifications and experience:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Florida Department of Health license for Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience working within school settings preferred
- Proficiency in conducting speech and language evaluations and interventions for early childhood and elementary-aged students
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to maintain detailed documentation and comply with school program requirements
- Bilingual skills are a plus, enhancing service accessibility
